This is a story about a couple who do not have trust in each other.
They know each other through a course. He was an instructor and she was just a normal participant. At that time, the girl was already attached to another guy. The boy was not aware of it. Thus, he tried to shower the girl with care and concern. The girl just kept quiet. After a week, the boy had to left for an overseas trip. He was worried that the girl could not take care of herself. He got another friend of his to look after the girl. Before he left, he prepared a bag of medicine and some sweets. The medicine includes strepils, panadaol for flu and fever and a bottle of cough syrup. Thinking that the cough syrup will be awful, he got some apple sweets for the girls.
The boy did not hand it personally to the girl; instead he got a friend to do it for her. He called her every day without fail. Naturally, the girl felt that he was a very sweet guy. Nothing can happen to them as the girl was attached to another guy. They went out with a big gang of friends very often. When the girl just casually mentioned that she liked this necklace, the boy remembered and bought it for her. The girl was working at that time. At times, she can only go home during wee hours. The boy will wait patiently for her till she reaches home safely. The girl spends that Christmas Eve with a gang of friends and the boy. That goes the same for New Year eve as well. The girl did not spend any of these festive seasons with her guy at all.
The girl and the boy did not contact each other for months when the girl changed to another job which requires her to do shift work. They do exchange some sms occasionally. One day, the girl text the boy. She was sad. Her guy broke up with her.
They continued to keep in contact with each other. The boy was still very nice and sweet towards the girl. Soon, they started to go on dates alone. The first time when they went to watch movies, they took a neo card together. Then they pass by an accessory shop which sells couple rings. They chose a pair and set the date to be on 19 July 2004 when it was only June at that time.
Soon they were together. The boy did not pop the question in a very romantic way. Instead it’s just like asking a casual question while waiting for the car to move.
They went through lots of ups and downs. For the first 8 months, they quarreled almost everyday. Things start to get better after that. However, the word ‘trust’ is not there. They start to get sensitive when either one is going to meet friends of the opposite sex.
Why is this happening? How relationships can last when neither of them have trust in each other?
